世界最偏遠的一處聚落，要找一名教師，只要教二十三個學生，但是必須精通十八般武藝。
位在南大西洋的「昆哈」群島，是英國的一處飛地。島上有兩百六十八名居民，都住在唯一的村子「七海愛丁堡」裡。
要去島上得費點周折，從南非的開普敦，坐船七天才能到。還好，四年前島上有了電視可以看了。
雖然只有二十三個學生，但是學校現在已經有六名老師。目前徵的是能教國三英文、數學、理化和地理等科目的老師。這個老師主要的任務是幫孩子通過國三學力測驗。
